Jonction Riverside Walk is a scenic riverside trail that runs through Jonction, where the Arve and Rhône rivers meet.

The trail starts from Bois de la Bâtie and follows the river. Before heading out, there is a water fountain in Bois de la Bâtie where you can fill up before hitting the trail.

As you get closer to the trail through the tree lined path, you will start seeing joggers sharing the route, so keep that in mind if your dog is easily distracted. There are several points along the trail where dogs can access the water. Unlike the Arve which runs very cold due to glacier melt, the Rhône is noticeably warmer here, making it a much more comfortable swim for dogs.

Once you cross the Butin bridge to the other side, some sections of the path get narrow. Be aware of joggers sharing the path, especially on weekends.

We visit this trail most often during Geneva's mating season restrictions, when many off-leash areas in the city are temporarily limited, as the riverside path remains open for off-leash walking year round, giving Abby a good stretch of ground to run freely.

Abby loves any trail that combines water access and long open stretches to run. This one checks both boxes.

Would we go back? Yes, it is part of our regular rotation.
